1 Visit: Sevilla - Castro Marim - Cacela Velha - Tavira - Faro - Albufeira

We begin our journey departing from seville towards the algarve and arriving at castro marim, small border village, first seat of the temple knights (we include the entrance to the castle). we will observe the sao sebastiao fotress, the salt flats, walk through its streets full of charm, where many old houses are still preserved, examples of the traditional architecture of the region.


we will continue to cacela velha, small hamlet located on a hill above the formosa river estuary, highlight its picturesque white houses with blue, green and yellow windows. we will walk through its square, its alleys and the estuary. 

we continue our route and we will reach the beautiful tavira, which has a beautiful historic center full of pedestrian and commercial streets, where we can walk and have lunch in one of its many restaurants.  

after lunch we will continue to faro. its historic center (the cidade velha) on the formosa river banks offers unforgettable views. highlights include its cathedral (sé), a temple-fortress located in the city nerve center of the old quarter. nearby are the marina and the liveliest area of the city.  

we follow to albufeira where we will have our accommodation.

2 Visit: Albufeira - Sagres Fortress - Cape San Vicente - Aljezur - Ribat Da Arrifana - Odeceixe - Albufeira

Our stage today, fundamentally landscape, takes us to the fortress of sagres (entrance included). this fortress reminds us the portugal past as a land of sailors and discoverers. you can appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the rough coast that we will travel during the day. 


the famous cape of sao vicente is a few kilometers away, the most southwestern point in the iberian peninsula. short stop to enjoy the scenery and its surroundings we´re on our way to tour the west coast of the region. 

we will take a road that borders the cliffs, we will stop at some of its viewpoints to take photos (in some periods of heavy rains the road may be closed as some of its sections are dirt). 

we will return to the main road and continue north to reach aljezur, picturesque village on a hill where we will have time for lunch. 

then we will meet ribat da arrifana, ancient muslim fortification raised to control this part of the coast. 

our next stop will be odeceixe, a small village that is a natural border between the algarve and the alentejo, a perfect place to have a coffee and stroll through its whitewashed houses streets, with indigo and yellow windows and doors, photograph its mill and enjoy the surroundings.

3 Visit: Albufeira – Rock Arches Of Mesquita Beach – Silves – Lagos - Vila Real De Santo Antonio - Sevilla

We will start the day near mesquita beach to walk a few minutes and approach its cliffs, with whimsical forms acquired for centuries due to the erosion of the sea, like its natural arches. 


then we arrive at the first capital of the region, silves, a cheerful city plenty of outdoor terraces, located on a hill and on the banks of the small arade river. an example of its rich history are its main historical buildings, such as the roman bridge, its gothic cathedral or its imposing reddish stone arab castle from where we will enjoy magnificent views (entrance included).

our next stop will be lagos. it is a beautiful seaside town that still retains parts of its arab walls, and that offers us pleasant places to have lunch, shopping streets and the possibility to travel its coast by boat, full of hidden coves among stone cliffs 

we return to seville, making our last stop within portugal in vila real de santo antonio, small border town with a bustling life. time for a walk, shopping or coffee.
