1 Visit: Madrid – El Raso – Bee Museum – Pico Mountain Passage – Las Cogotas – Ávila

We start the tour towards the tietar valley. surrounded by mountains we find our first protohistoric town, the castro de el raso (entrance included), where we can see the recreations of the typical indigenous cabins.     


not far from there we can visit the bee museum (entrance included). a unique place to know where the honey manufacturing process is produced and displayed.     

we continue our journey admiring the beautiful and mountainous landscapes that gredos hills leaves us until we reach pico mountain passage, where we will find the roman road that ran through this area at an altitude of 1395m.     

close to the city of ávila we will visit one of the most representative sites in the province, the, castro de las cogotas. main reference of the vetones that stands out for the important defensive systems and the control of the entire valley where it is located.    

after the visit we will go to avila, there we will have time to walk along with our guide through this city and, declared a world heritage site where its famous walls stand out. time to have dinner and taste the gastronomy of ávila. accommodation.

2 Visit: Ávila - Cerrro De San Vicente - Ledesma - Yecla La Vieja - Zamora

After breakfast we set off in the direction of salamanca. we will have time to visit this monumental city. we will walk through its historic centre and we will know the vestiges of its protohistoric past and its conquest by the romans. at the top of the city is the archaeological centre cerro de san vicente (entrance included) where we can get to know the houses of the 2nd iron age as well as their way of life before the roman conquest.  


we head towards the city of ledesma, the old bletisama, with its fortress, the small archaeological museum (entrance included), the famous “verraco” and the traditional architecture of this area, located on the banks of the river tormes. time to have lunch in this city and taste the typical “charro” gastronomy. 

we continue the trip to visit the best-preserved archaeological site in the province of salamanca, yecla the old (entrance included). it is a celtic fort, used by the romans and visigoths famous for its imposing walls and petroglyphs. from here we will go to the city of zamora. together with our guide we will take a walk to get to know this medieval city, one the jewels of castilian romanesque, we will visit its cathedral (entrance included). in turn, it is a city that has an important modernist architecture that we will also know. time for dinner and accommodation.

3 Visit: Zamora – Pino Del Oro Mines – La Encarnación – El Castillón – Madrid

We continue our tour to pino del oro, where we can see the gold mines exploited during the roman period. in this town in zamora there is one of the most famous modern bridges in the area, the requejo bridge, built in 1914 and located in a spectacular landscape of las arribes del duero.  


we will head to the aliste region to visit one of the most important castros in the province, castro de la encarnación, where we find a large number of highly relevant archaeological elements. we will take a break on the way to taste the gastronomy of this region in the nearby towns.

we will cross sierra de la culebra, home to the largest population of iberian wolves in the entire peninsula, to reach the tabara region. there we will get to know the castro de el castillón, located in a beautiful spot on the banks of the esla river offering ancient civilizations control over the passage of the river. 

then we start our return to madrid.
