Introduction

This tour is part of our flexible coach touring range, guaranteed with a minimum of 2 people. Once the tour is booked, it is guaranteed so it will definitely go ahead, and will never cancel.

This tour is guided in English only. Please note if English speaking attendance numbers are low, the tour can become bilingual either accompanied by two tour leaders, one for each language, or a single tour leader providing explanations in both languages.

The tour offers flexibility, allowing you to customize it to your preferences. Arrival and reception transfer aboard the "MS CRUCEVITA" in AMSTERDAM to start your RHINE VALLEY CRUISE. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. However, if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at the front desk to explore the city on your own. Welcome cocktail and dinner . Overnight in Amsterdam.

After breakfast, we´ll visit Amsterdam . Known as "The Venice of the North", with more than 800 years of history, the city is famous for its cozy houses on the canals, its secret courtyards and the colorful mix of cultures and nationalities in its streets. Free time in the afternoon to visit museums, continue enjoying the city on your own, or optionally visit the North of the country. Overnight sailing.

We wake up in the capital of the province of Gelderland, ARNHEM , and after breakfast we will visit its tourist attractions such as the Hoge Veluwe National Park, the Dutch Water Museum or the Open-Air Museum, which traces its history back more than 100 years. In the afternoon we start sailing in a stretch of beautiful Dutch landscapes towards Cologne. Overnight sailing.

We arrive early in the morning in one of Germany´s most prominent cities, COLOGNE . During the visit , which we will make on foot, we will visit the historic center of the millenary city and finish at its greatest attraction: the city´s cathedral (Kölner Dom), which is the seat of the Archbishopric. Free time in the afternoon to enjoy its breweries, shopping streets or perfumeries, or the possibility to visit the nearby city of Bonn or Düsseldorf. After dinner we depart for Koblenz. Overnight sailing.

On this day we will visit one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe and the most popular stretch of the Rhine, the "Romantic Rhine" . This 65 km stretch is a World Heritage Site for its scenic beauty and historical significance with dozens of castles, vineyards and legends such as the mermaid "Loreley".
At each end of this stretch are Koblenz and Rüdesheim , cities that we will have the opportunity to visit on this full day. Overnight sailing.

In the middle of the morning we arrive in MANNHEIM , the university town on the Rhine and Neckar rivers, where Karl Drais built the first two-wheeled vehicle in 1817, which saw Carl Benz´s first car roll through the streets in 1886 and where Julius Hatry even built the world´s first rocket plane here in 1929. From there we will go to visit HEIDELBERG , a city known for its 14th century University and its beautiful palace on top of the hill. Overnight sailing.

On this day we will enjoy the capital of the French Alsace, STRASBOURG , one of the most scenic cities and regions in Europe. In the morning, a tour of the city is included, to visit the most interesting places first by coach and then on foot through its historic center, and after lunch, free time or the possibility of entering the French Alsace visiting one of its most important villages, Colmar. Overnight sailing.

We wake up in Mainz , (scheduled arrival at 08.30 hrs) where Johannes Gutenberg invented the movable type printing press. Its historic center, crowned with its thousand-year-old cathedral, contrasts with a modern, university city. At 09:00 all passengers must vacate their cabins, but you can leave your bags at the reception until the time of the transfer. After breakfast, visit Mainz (check with flight compatibility). End of the tour.
