Introduction
This tour is part of our flexible coach touring range, guaranteed with a minimum of 2 people. Once the tour is booked, it is guaranteed so it will definitely go ahead, and will never cancel.
This tour is guided in English only. Please note if English speaking attendance numbers are low, the tour can become bilingual either accompanied by two tour leaders, one for each language, or a single tour leader providing explanations in both languages.
The tour offers flexibility, allowing you to customize it to your preferences. By clicking 'Quote or Book,' you will have the choice to select your desired start and end dates and destinations within the tour's defined parameters. Given this flexibility, it's important to note that the same people, tour guides or drivers may not be on your entire journey.

Welcome to Europamundo! Transfer to the hotel and free time. You will be provided with the information required for the beginning of the trip in the afternoon; otherwise, the information will appear on the information panels at the hotel reception area.
IMPORTANT: - Remember that hotels check-in time is usually at 14:00 hrs. If you require more hours of room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip.

Scenery: Plains in Castile; spectacular mountain scenery crossing the Cantabrian Range.
N ote: If there are fewer than five travellers from Madrid to Leon, this section might be carried out by high-speed train. In this case you will be transfered to the railway station, but the trip will be made without a guide (you will meet our main group from Galicia in Leon). In this case the stop in Tordesillas will be cancelled.
08:30 hrs. - Madrid - Departure (the time may changed slightly depending on the departure points). We travel through Castilla y León, passing through the Guadarrama mountains and over the plains of Castile.
10:45 hrs. - Tordesillas - Arrival in this small town, where in the 15th century the treaty that divided America between Spain and Portugal was signed. Time for a coffee at its Plaza Mayor.
11:45 hrs. - Tordesillas - Departure.
13:30 hrs. - Leon - Time for lunch and a walk around this historic capital of Leon, located on the Way of St. James. Its Gothic cathedral stands out with its magnificent stained glass windows.
16:45 hrs. - Leon - Departure. Magnificent scenery along our trip to Asturias.
18:30 hrs. - Oviedo - Arrival. We include (sometimes the next morning) an hour-and-a-half city tour with a local guide. We will see the 9th-century cathedral, the Calatrava palace, the Campoamor theatre, and the Calle de la Rúa. Night in the capital of the Principality of Asturias. A city with a great atmosphere.
Scenery: Plains in Castile; spectacular mountain scenery crossing the Cantabrian Range.
N ote: If there are fewer than five travellers from Madrid to Leon, this section might be carried out by high-speed train. 09:45 hrs.- Covadonga - Time to see the sanctuary nestled among the mountains, the place where the Reconquista of Spain began.
10:45 hrs. - Covadonga - departure. The green mountains blend with the sea. Beautiful scenery along the way.
12:30 hrs. - Santillana - Arrival. Time in this beautiful medieval village, its stone streets, its blazoned houses, the Collegiate. Time to have a stroll and lunch. In the vicinity of the town we will see (tickets included) the Museum of the Altamira Caves , a reproduction of the fantastic rock paintings preserved here.
16:00 hrs. - Santillana/Altamira - departure.
16:30 hrs. - Santander – Arrival in the regional capital, a maritime city with impressive views between mountains and beaches. We include the city tour of a little over 2 hours with a local guide to discover this elegant coastal city and its beautiful bay. During the tour we will stroll around the Pereda Gardens, we will climb to the Centro Botín and reach the Cathedral Square. Then, in the bus, we will continue to the Magdalena Peninsular, the Sardinero Beaches, the Grand Casino, Piquío Gardens and Cabo Mayor Lighthouse with the beautiful views of the city and its spectacular cliffs.
Arrival at a hotel at around 18:45 hrs.

10:30 hrs. - Bilbao - Arrival, we are in the largest city of the Basque Country. Upon arrival we include a cable car to the Artxanda viewpoint for the great views of the whole city. After this with a local guide we will make a short city tour: the Guggenheim area, Old Quarter, Cathedral and etc. At the end of the tour there will also be time to try one of the famous “pintxos” and have lunch.
14:15 hrs – Bilbao. Departure. We travel to Castile (in some occasions the buses change en route).
20:30 hrs. - Madrid - Arrival.
Note: In case the group of passengers is limited, the trip from Bilbao to Madrid might be carried out by train or regular transport.
Scenery: Great views over the sea, mountains and green landscapes before entering the Castilian Plateau.
